At this concert, we attempt to connect classical music, folk music and world music primarily through choir literature. Góbé songs will be performed in the performance with the contribution of the Szeged University Choir, popular Hungarian choral works with folk orchestral accompaniment and world music processing, and the mixed choir will also contribute to an authentic folk music composition, and at some point in the concert the members of the two bands will sing together.
Gobe fusion folk from the Carpathian Basin.
They play Hungarian folk songs, sometimes combined with the music of the surrounding peoples, but kept them at their own pace, wrapped in different modern genres in their style. Rock, blues, dubstep, reggae, metal, jazz, pop, hiphop, and what comes to their mind in the universal language of music, they speak in the dialect of styles. In fact, they have created a popular pop music that, in addition to entertaining and contemporary, preserves its traditional tastes. Their goal is to bring folk music closer to the people, to introduce the music culture behind their popular songs.
The concert will be held in collaboration with the Fonó Club Szeged and the IH Event Centre, supported by the National Cultural Fund, within the framework of the 29th Autumn Cultural Festival series.
Ticket price: early bird: 2.900 Ft; in advance: HUF 3.900; on the day of the concert and on the spot: 4.900 HUF.
